I was just saying in a previous blog entry (on Yahoo 360) about how I needed a folding table of some kind, and just last night, my mother in law asked us if we would want a card table....of course! Its strange how things come to you like that. It happens to us on occasion...quite a few occasions actually. Ive been paying more attention to things like that...especially since Ive been projecting for some of the things we need and want. Still dont know if reading tarot at Hempfest is going to be workable yet but we'll see.
Color Your Own Tarot update for those interested-the blasted thing is almost finished! I really only have to finish the suit of swords (dont know why this suit is slowing me down) and a few final touches and then its ready to be sprayed. Ive been making a push to just get it finished so I can move on to other projects. I may still get another copy to do at my leisure, or a different colorless deck since there are many others.....its been fun to do and kind of frustrating but thats only because I am so picky about the colors and details.....its worth the extra time to make it your own. I of course will be scanning the deck for view when Im done although the gel pen detailing (metallic and neon colors) wont really be noticeable, which is too bad since it turned out beautiful on some of the cards. Other cards will probably be visibly smudged a bit, Ive done what I can do to correct or cover up my mistakes, but it probably only matters to me anyway. They still look nice.
Got a bunch of stuff to catch up on...tassels, lucet, hip scarves and other costuming, jewelry...its a long list and slow going as it always is. Since alot of my supplies are recycled/second hand things, what I work on depends on what I can find most of the time. Though I create for the joy of creating first, it would be nice if some of my creations could fetch a bit of money for us but I know that that may be a ways off realistically, thats okay.
